Titus II Teachers College was established 1957.  The College is run by the Mar Thoma Syrian Church and is dedicated to the revered memory of His Grace The Most Rev. Titus II, who was Metropolitan of the Mar Thoma Syrian Church from 1898 - 1944.  His Grace The Most Rev. Dr. Juhanon Mar Thoma Metropolitan was the founder of this college. The strength of the college was 100 to start with.  It was raised to 150.   National Assessment and Accredition Council (NAAC) accredited the College with ‘A' Grade in 2004.
College is celebrating its Golden Jubilee in the year 2007.  The inauguration of the Golden Jubilee Celebration was done by His Excellency Sri. R.L. Bhatia, Hon'ble Governor of Kerala.  Different projects and activities are arranging during Golden Jubilee year.

THE COLLEGE CREST
Our college crest is symbolic and the motto accompanying it is a noble one. The crest has four quarters divided by a cross. The left upper quarter has a lighted torch. It is ready to light other torches which come in its way symbolic of the motto 'lighted to lighten'. The open book in the middle represents knowledge. The college imparts knowledge to the scholars who come seeking it year after year. Then there is the dove which stands for peace. The college spreads the message of peace to all those who are far and near. In the right hand corner at the bottom we see a lotus which stands for brightness. In mythology the lotus flower is specially significant. The college community is divided in to four houses and they are named after the symbols in the crest.

The official inauguration of the M.Ed course of this college took place on the 13th of March 2008. His Lordship Rt. Rev Dr. Zacharias Mar Theophilus Suffragon Metropolitan inaugurated the course and Prof K.Mathew Hon’ble member of syndicate, M.G University, Kottayam delivered the key not address.

The M.Ed Associations ‘PIONEERS’ was inaugurated on the 3rd of June 2008 by Shri Raju Narayana Swami IAS, Hon’ble District Collector of Pathanamthitta.
